Product Review of Febreze Set & Refresh

Who doesn’t like air fresheners?Well, I guess unless you have allergies or a sensitive nose.Our homes can be a cesspool of foul smells and just downright icky things sometimes.Pets and kids seem to be able to draw in some of the oddest smells!In order to keep out the stink, many of us have turned to different types of air fresheners to help us in our quest of having a nicely scented environment.

Febreze recently released a new type of air freshener called the Set & Refresh.The main competition for the Set & Refresh is Renuzit’s gel cone air freshener.Admittedly, the gel cone air freshener does a good job in the beginning but dries up quickly and doesn’t last long, usually retiring in around 14 days.That is not the case with the Febreze Set & Refresh.My experience with this product is that you can expect it to last between 30 to 45 days which is considerably longer.

The Set & Refresh is considerably more expensive than their competition but when you do the math compared to how long the scent lasts, the Febreze is hands down the better deal.I was able to purchase ten of these wonderful air fresheners in my favorite scent, Hawaiian Aloha, with a coupon stacking deal recently at Target and paid 50 cents each for them after the coupons and the “buy 5 get a free $5 gift card” deal.Even at regular price, these are well worth the money.

The way that it works is you insert a scented oil cartridge into the plastic diffuser.Open the diffuser and it creates a small hole in the back of the oil package that allows the scent to come out.They are great for small rooms such as bathrooms and medium size rooms such as bedrooms or large closets.For larger rooms like living and dining rooms, you may want to place one on each side of the room to cover the entire area.

The scent is not overpowering at all, even when the Set & Refresh units are brand new.The best way to describe it is that it is a lingering scent in the air that creeps up on you when you walk in the room.Almost like fabric softener on your clothing.You have that slight scent that varies in intensity at times but it is at a pleasant level and always present.

The unit is small and slender so it fits just about anywhere you may need to put it.I currently have one on our fireplace mantel, on top of the refrigerator, on top of the vanity mirror in the bathroom and one on the nightstand of each bedroom.They don’t clutter the surface or leak which is nice to know since the scent is produced by oil.

Would I buy this product again?Yes, I sure would!There are a variety of scents available to try although I have stuck with the same one every time.They are not expensive, even at regular price and are well worth the money and they last a good amount of time.Combine that with the fact that they aren’t extremely overpowering with the scent and it is an all around excellent product.
